What We Do

ABOUT OUR STEEL CUTTING SERVICE

Steel cutting services in the Philippines are essential for converting raw steel materials — plates, sheets, and structural sections — into project-ready shapes and sizes. At Regan Industrial Sales Inc., our Quezon City facility uses cutting-edge technology including plasma cutting, mechanical shearing, and precision sawing to deliver clean, dimensionally
accurate cuts for construction, infrastructure, and industrial manufacturing applications.

As both a steel supplier and processing center, Regan offers a unique advantage: order your raw material and have it cut to specification in a single transaction. This eliminates the coordination between separate suppliers and processors, reducing lead time and minimizing handling. Our team of experienced operators works closely with each client to confirm dimensions, tolerances, and delivery requirements before cutting begins.

The Process

HOW WE CUT STEEL

Steel beam being prepared for galvanizing
STEP 01

PLASMA CUTTING

Plasma cutting uses a high-velocity jet of ionized gas to melt and remove steel with exceptional speed and a clean cut face. It is the preferred method for medium-to-thick steel plates and for complex or irregular shapes that require precise torch path control.

Material thickness range 6mm – 100mm (mild steel)
Typical materials Mild steel plates, checker plates, floor plates
Edge quality Smooth, minimal dross — weld-ready
Best for Complex profiles, structural shapes, high- volume orders
Steel beam being prepared for galvanizing
STEP 02

MECHANICAL SHEARING

Mechanical shearing uses a straight-blade cutting action to produce clean, straight-line cuts on flat steel sheets and plates at high speed. The process is highly efficient for cutting large quantities of standard sheet sizes and does not generate heat, eliminating the heat-affected zone entirely.

Material thickness range Up to 25mm (sheet and plate)
Cut type Straight-line cuts only
Edge quality Burr-free, no heat-affected zone
Best for Sheet blanking, standard plate sizing, high- volume runs
Steel beam being prepared for galvanizing
STEP 03

SAW CUTTING (STRUCTURAL SECTIONS)

For structural steel sections — H-beams, I-beams, channel bars, angle bars, and hollow sections — cold saw cutting delivers precise, square end cuts essential for accurate fabrication and assembly. Cold sawing produces a chip rather than a melt, resulting in a clean, burr- free face.

Material types H-beams, I-beams, channels, angles, RHS, SHS
Cut type Square end cuts; mitered cuts available on request
Length tolerance ±1mm on standard structural sections
Best for Column and beam sizing, purlin cutting, framing members

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of steel can be cut?

Steel cutting services may be used for plates, sheets, beams, bars, pipes, tubes, channels, angles, and other structural or fabricated steel products. Suitability depends on the material type, thickness, dimensions, and required cut.

What steel cutting methods are available?

Common methods may include shearing, sawing, oxy-fuel cutting, plasma cutting, and other mechanical or thermal cutting processes. The recommended method depends on the steel type, thickness, cut quality, and project requirements.

Can steel be cut according to custom dimensions?

Yes. Steel products can be cut according to specified lengths, widths, shapes, or project drawings, subject to equipment capacity and material limitations. Accurate dimensions and approved plans help ensure the correct output.

What information should I provide for a steel cutting quotation?

Provide the steel product, material grade, thickness, dimensions, quantity, required cut size or shape, tolerance, drawings, delivery location, and target schedule. A bill of materials or cutting list can help speed up the quotation process.

Can cut steel products be prepared for delivery?

Yes. Cut steel products may be bundled, labeled, and prepared for transport based on the order requirements. Delivery options depend on the product dimensions, total weight, quantity, and project location.
